With the recent changes to Dungeon leveling, I believe that Heirloom gear is needed now more than ever. It is extremely awkward to loot gear in say RFC as a level 50, and it being a green level 13 items with pitiful stats. I also think this will create a 'healthier' experience for people who prestige multiple times. There was also times at around level 30 I noticed I was getting level 50+ gear from my dungeon caches.

With that being said I think there are some limitations that should be placed on Heirloom gear, and they go as follows:

      1. You should only be able to equip Heriloom if you are prestiging, new characters should not have access to them.

      2. Heirloom gear should probably not work in PvP? This is to avoid new players from being miserable in PVP

      3. Heirloom gear should NOT increase your exp gain, just the stats that they give. Unless the EXP gain they give is so small it truly doesn't matter.

      4. Acquisiton of Heirloom gear can either be through Marks of Ascension as individual pieces, and/or a bundled set as a cash shop item.
I personally would like this to be both. A free option to acquire the gear would be nice and appreciated. But a cash shop Item that contains all the heriloom pieces to save time would also be nice.

      5. Be unable to place REs on Heirloom gear.
I think this is important as I think being able to put REs on Heirlooms would be too powerful. This should be the trade off you must take for having gear that levels with you. Leveling is already easy enough, it does not need to be trivialized further.

Obviosuly everything is ultimatly up to the devs, but I personally feel that Heirloom gear will make leveling in the scaling dungeons feel much less clunky. As it stands now, things can get awkward with gear and to me this is one way to fix the issue.

      And Finally.
This post is meant to start a discussion and give Ideas in a constructive manner sourrounding Heirloom gear. If you do not agree with something I say that is fine. But please do not attack me, instead give alternatives ideas and construtive feedback for devs to read. The more ideas that are shared the better.

This is the only thing I'd disagree with and replace with a different "consequence" of using heirlooms. One of the reasons I like doing Prestige is being able to level from 1 to level cap using a set of three specific RE's to create a unique build and gameplay style. Combining a legendary enchant with two epics is enough to make multiple characters play drastically different.

Currently, I place the legendary and two epics on a level 15 cape and the PvP trinkets, even though I never PvP just so I can have the enchants. The tradeoff is never being able to easily equip a new, higher-level item in those slots with the enchants as I level.

I would suggest that having an heirloom item equipped means you cannot roll need on an item for that slot, since the idea is you are supposed to keep it equipped as you level.
