@CheshireKing Hi. If you are looking for a holy healer build, I have one posted in the game. If you press N, then go to the Hero Architect tab on the bottom of that window, you can search for builds that you want. My build is Holy Radiance. You can easily search for it by searching for Blanket, since my in game name is Blanketlight. I'm on Area 52 though, so I'm not sure which server you are wanting to play on.
I can't really help with other builds, because while I do tank, I am still working on my tanking build. Also, I don't do damage builds, so I can't help with that.
What a lot of people do, is search for a Legendary (orange color) Random Enchant, then build their character around that. It's a fun way to build a character in my opinion.
@YackScore You're in luck, there's some really good options for deadly bite.
Since it stacks a bleed effect, you can go all-in for bleeds and use Blades of Blood to open your rotation; use Charge to get within melee range and immediately Whirlwind to apply Rend to nearby enemies before you start spamming Mongoose Bite and Raptor Bite.
Bloodbath is nice, too, since you can also use Rupture to spread Rend, too.
If you use Twilight, you can pick up Vampiric Embrace to heal yourself, too.
I agree with you, it's a very bad idea to split the playerbase. I like that League 3 is suppose to only be like 3 months long, but Al'ar has definitely taken a big part of the playerbase. The whole reason why they implemented scaling for dungeons below level 60 is because new players were leaving the game since queues were taking very long. I hope they learn from that.
@DoubleDiamond it would be ideal to make them free and put them in a realm that is payd for with dp, that way everyone who has access to the realm also has access to the races. Additionally I think we could use a completely mod free realm it might attract some players that are not into modified wow.
Click on the server you are playing on then click architect, click on the end game level of that server on the left then change the "all roles" button to tank and it will give you a large selection of builds others have made.
Is this designed for dungeons and raids ? if so you are missing alot of +hit talents...since you need roughly 16% from gear and talents together.
And will this work ? yes it does, but most standard and heroic dungeons are easy as cakewalk.. even as firemage with single greater heal can be the single healer, ofcourse its really annoying for the tank....
It is interesting build, but its all over the place and too many things to do at the same time and cant focus on one thing lets say melee when you need to start spamming heals.
Fishing with maelstorm weapon works well when you combine it to Damage skills on heals it might be too unreliable.
Thanks for your input!
I intended for this build to be used in dungeons, lower m+, and raids. I've only ever experienced leveling dungeons in Ascension so far, so I'm still unsure of the build's efficacy.
I've changed the build up a bit to address the lack of hit and expertise, with more emphasis on expertise since I'll be relying on a slow/fast dual-wield setup to fish for both Maelstrom and Art of War procs while still maximizing Windfury Weapon damage.
I wanted to keep the dps buttons to a minimum (4, with Exorcism as an optional 5th) so that HoT uptime and spot heals won't be too big of an issue, but I understand that it'll also greatly depend on how brave my tank will be when pulling packs.
I understand that this build won't be great for heavy damage situations that call for major healing coolodnws.
I'd love to make a spell tank, but as damage blocked by a shield is mitigated my Str I am kinda stuck
Huh, I hadn't considered that when looking at the Mana Forged Barrier ability on Mal'Ganis. I tried making a Strength-based tank that made heavy use of spells in its rotation (by way of Maelstrom Weapon procs and instant cast spells, plus Mana Shield on cooldown) and supported by passive mana regen (Seal/Judgement of Wisdom + 3/3 Judgements of the Wise, etc.) but the survivability wasn't good enough to get into BC content.
I wonder if the Arcane Mage talent "Arcane Fortitude" capstone could be changed to "Increase your block value based on spell power" instead of boosting armor from cloth.
I tried it not long ago on Area 52, it's mediocre at this moment.
Many things doesn't work with Ice Lance Procs from White Walker, like for example Fel Armor healing part from warlock abilities, Elemental Devastation from Shaman Tree, Frostbite from frost mage tree, etc...
I reported it under bugtracker two times, it just get closed without explanation.
So I guess they don't give a fuck about that.
I like to start with a legendary enchant and build from there. There is the Dark Surgeon legendary enchant which is a healing build that uses Rogue combo points and light powers for healing as well as an AOE.
