This Orc & Troll racial "trinkets" are neglectable. You can check retail/TBC wow sims - racials are responsible for 2-4% dps diffrence between best and worst race for almost all classes.

Meanwhile your propositions are straight up broken and would force every even remotely competitive player to pick certain race according to content he will play. You could observe results of racials being OP in pre-SL MDI, competitive raider.io groups... not to mention Mythic Raiding scene.

This kind of stuff is extremly unhealthy for the game and i hope your propositions will never go live.

@Tyrri WHOAH ! Hold your horses mate !

Parry tanks are in excellent state both for M+ and raids. Yes, they are more gear depended than crimson/bear (e.g. bear can brainlessly equip higher ilvl, parry tank needs stat priority) but their stagger mechanics make them "immue" to burst and so much easier to keep alive - personally as a healer main they are my favourite kind of tanks.

Bear tanks are shit in 90% encounters beacuse of how much damage they take. Yes, they have giant HP pool and good damage output but keeping them alive (specially during Grevious wounds week) is pain in the ass. In their defence i have to say - they shine in every situation that a tank is getting stunned/disabled beacuse being stunned makes parry/crimson tanks unable to parry/block/dodge - they start taking as much damage as bears.. but again - bears have 2x more HP so they easily deal with stuns.

Mana tanks scale with gear, this is all you have to know. The better the gear, the easier content becomes for them. At start of TBC manatanks were absolute trash, now they are definitely playable. A week ago i did M9 with my manaforged friend that has 126 ilvl (but already optimized ~half of his gear). Nothing too crazy but to be honest - i have feeling that 130ilvl with fully optimized gear he will be comparable to Crimson and should be able to beat him later on.

@Abmadlad It's the other way around in arenas and world pvp. Cast times are hinderance and good melee / ranger players have no issue dealing with majority of of caster specs.

In terms of PvE - melees and rangers also have much easier time dealing with M+ / raid mechanics.

IMHO uncoordinated Battlegrounds in their nature are shitshow that always will be easier for mages/rangers and it's not worth even attempting to balance game around them as you will fail no matter what.

@WiliemDemon lucky me - we will not switch to wotlk in nearest half of a year, most likely a year or even more.

What have you accomplished in this game ?

Have you even done M15+ ? Have you killed even 1 boss in SSC ASC ? Do you even know what is the BIS set for your spec?

I'm going easy on you and not asking about M20 / BIS gear for your spec overall. So far i have this feeling you're playing this game casually for fun, you never made a character that could pull even 8k single target dps (entry level for asc. raid is 10k+).

You know what ? If that is true than it's all fine for me, you can play your own game of prestiging / m0 dungeons / doing quests for lore / whatever you like.

Problem is your ideas are straigth up stupid layers of grind from perspective of people who want their characters optimized and actually be able to push the content. This is just another f***** grind to make, be it gold to buy that s*** or making a stupid *** proffesion. Do you think i like grinding ? No i do not.

@WiliemDemon I love RPG's and i like doing "meaningfull choices" but this is not RPG - it is MMOrpg (yes, rpg with small cases as it secondary aspect of this game).

Recently in ShadowLands Blizzard wanted to implement "meaningfull choice" in terms of picking covenants... you know what were the results ?

I played Resto Druid and as you can see from graphs 90% of us decided to go nightfae. Did i like nightfae ? Hell NO, i despise them and wanted to be necrolord but their ability was just too powerfull.
What about other classes ? Well in some cases there was diffrent BIS covenant for raiding/m+/pvp but as the data shows - almost all classes have 80%+ playerbase sticking to dominant covenant.

Is it realy a choice if you have dominant option ? Or is it just another layer of grind / picking Best-In-Slot ability ? If it's just another layer of grind then why introducing it at all ?

If they ever introduce that "racials" then i will just grind them with aura+potion in no-time. You know what 95% of my guild will do ? They will grind it with aura+potion.

At this point whole "rpg" element will be reduced to extra grind - then what's the diffrence between "racial" and "enchant" i need to grind gold for ?

@WiliemDemon I'm always up for fun, but what you proposed affects survivability / damage output. A lot of us like to optimize our characters and while 2-4% diffrence is something we can afford to ignore in order to play character we like - your proposition would affect survivability/DPS output in too meaningfull way and lead to situations like:

"HEY LOOK SOME IDIOT MADE AN UNDEAD TANK ! Did you realy thought you can compete agains 5% damage reduction on Tauren with your shitty ass Canibalize ? Get lost noob !"

Am i overreacting ? Possibly but unlikely. I don't see even a slightest chance our raid leader would ever take anything but Tauren/Night elf as a main tank and i as a healer would completly agree with that choice (not to mention i'd change race too).

@WiliemDemon sure, just add another expense on top of my list of flasks, potions, food, enchants and gems. Can't wait for that : /

@Halimath If you're foing for PvE then i suggest you check in-game Hero Architect (level 70 builds) for Hot Hands RE as they appear very strong right now.
If you're looking for pvp builds then i have no idea.

@ThisguyJake You should talk with Bessie (alar), he is playing Meta tank and as far as i know he is most experienced one.
I seen him tanking pug Mag HC with ease, not sure how it preforms in current raid tier.
