I'm kind of new and I would really like it if there were more legendary enchantments to support a hunter with shadow. When I started to build the class I imagined a hunter with some dots and some time-window-based damage opportunities but it actually just feels like I'm doing something I'm not supposed to when compared to the arcane hunter support. There's about one enchant called [Dark Torment] and that's the only one that supports the idea so far that I've found.

If anyone actually knows if there's something more about this that I don't understand I would appreciate the advice since this is the reason I came to Ascension.

@Kaster The rare enchantment Versatile Power causes Expose Weakness to grant 66% as much spell power as it does attack power (stacking up to 3 times), so that could be used to weave spells into your rotation, but you're right; I don't know of any really effective shadow+hunter builds.

If there was a ranged version of Master of Shadows (something to proc increased shadow spell damage and spell haste) or Pestilence (spread Corruption using an instant cast attack), it might be easier to do.

@Kaster So I looked into it some more and found the legendary enchantment Harbringer of Pestilence, which changes Insect Swarm to potentially deal Shadow damage, combining with Haunt and causing Wrath to add a Shadow dot which can explode to spread the dot.

This enchantment should combo really well with Wild Wrath (causes Wild Quiver to make Wrath instant cast) and Wrath of the Plague (causes Wrath to also apply a different shadow dot). Add Devouring Plague to the build and I think you've got something solid.

Edit --- Also the rare Don't Make Me Angry x3 (increases damage of Wrath based on attack power) and the epic Devouring (causes applying a warlock dot to extend the duration of Devouring Plague by 5 seconds).

You could also add 3x Careful Aim (boost attack power based on Intellect) and 3x Hunter vs Wild (boost attack power based on Stamina).

Here's a full set of RE's that might make a good combo.

@DoubleDiamond I might actually try this too. I have been keeping at it to little avail. A player named Fisti I came across kind of whipped something up for me and I filled in some blanks and ended up with something that resembled what I wanted but so far hasn't really been able to do as much and I want it to but it's a lot better than what I started with

This is what I'm running now

I have the familiar feeling of trying to make something work that just might not be in the cards as I have in many games.
