Client Crash/Freeze on Character Retreival

I require some help:
I've installed Ascension using Steam in Linux (Mint OS Cinnamon, Debian-based using Proton 7.0 which works well). I have gotten the launcher to work, as well as I can log into the game, however, once I pick the server I wish to use (Area 52) my game freezes and then crashes by getting a force kill screen, I don't even have a crash log I can reference to figure out the issue.
I've also attempted clearing/deleting the cache and the WTF files, and then repairing the client neither of which worked

Has anyone had this issue and can help me fix it?

@Windsoflight Hey! Can you try to delete the DivxTac.dll file in your game directory?
