Ascension started as classic only, then it added tbc expansion and now lich king is in the works... I was wondering how far will ascension go? Personally I wouldn't mind it going all the way to modern wow since I never experienced it myslef, I always have and still do and always will find a monthly bill too expensive for any game. I also wouldn't mind Ascension stopping at wrath of the lich king and adding purely custom content from there (however in that case I would appreciate a visual update thats fully modern with all the character customization we have on modern wow, looks do matter to me).

What would you like Ascensions far future to look like?

Me personally? All expansions but reworked both story and gameplay wise however the playerbase may wish it but I do understand that is a lot to ask for.

That is an interesting topic! I'd love to hear what our player base thinks!

At the moment though, we are based on a Wrath client and game engine, which means any progression past that would require significant work

We have 2 options when it comes to progressing past Wrath.

backport content into the current game engine - here we would have to re-create everything from later expansions and try to make it work within the limitations of an older version
Start over in a later engine, and have to redo most of our custom content, and a lot of the later content.
this would most likely be one of the latest engines, as support, optimization, and features are more plentiful

in either scenario, I believe we would continue working on custom content, in the same way as we already have though

Sorry i play WoW only here but what i know best talent system is in this WoW Wrath but when we get like pandarens + monk class and mabie demon hunter (and of course new races) someone need make new custom talent tree for this new classes

And why this talent system is best ? Hmm becose you have more freedom to chose what you like to use and what no (here is even more freedom becose no need use points to get some talents, i hope you know what i think)(and mabie Holy Shield(and other similar talent skills) can be normal skills(no need use talent points) and in talent can have only some ´´passive´´ bonus like now)

And next in all new MMO games what i no like is you no have any freedom what and how you will play this games (for me best game is The Slormancer (only bad is single player and can have even more ´´freedom play system´´). And when you take MMORPG sorry but for me in this new games is no more RPG i no have feeling i play me self in different world (for me i need (or like) custom/upgrade me own skills (like i play healers/tanks = i like have when i can upgrade me holy nova make threat (no need use RE) but take more mana)(more or less you swap something for something else)

Sorry I write but I tried to think about it and so I wrote some new class that could be upgraded(inserted) in 3.3.5 WoW (talents and skills), but I think it was bad, because no one likes these suggestions

So it seems that there is probably everyone in order to have the latest versions of WoW even with those ugly talents (which in my opinion do not coincide with the idea of a classless server)
