Shield Slam / Shield Of Righteousness / Shield Block / Shield Wall

I know this is probably a fruitless venture on my part, but any way we could get the above mentioned skills (at least the two shield slam abilities: SS, & SoR) without the requirement of having to use their respective stances? (i.e. Defensive Stance & Righteous Fury, respectively)
I'd just like to have a little more shield viability with Mana Forged Barrier, and honestly the two slam abilities seem like they would work perfectly with the Battlemage talent capstone ability, from the arcane mage tree.

@Uden Or have Shield slam and Shield of the righteous usable with either Defensive stance or Righteous fury- so you do not need both stances.
-
@Nevaduck Yeah that's cool too. (I've seen at least one other ability that said "requires defensive stance or righteous fury," so I don't see why that would be an issue) I was specifically referring to Mana Forged Barrier though, since the ability to weave melee attacks in between your spellcasts with Battlemage capstone ability seems like it would go very well together. (at least for those mage tanks that are using a shield) Always wanted a mage tank that used a shield when I played wow, but the shield in Project Ascension as far as I can tell, is only there for xtra armor, and being able to passively block attacks when using Mana Forged Barrier as your tanking stance. Allowing shield slam and shield of the righteous to be used in conjunction with MFB & Battlemage Capstone would just make it a little better imho.
(I would say Shield Block from warrior Prot tree too but I feel like I'm pushing it with just Slam and Righteousness)

@Uden I agree with everything you said. Ascension is supposed to be classless but now so many abilities require a specific form or stance. So its really making custom classes without calling them classes. I suppose this is the illusion of choice. Would love to make a block mage. But also, would need to get some block value from Int to make it viable.

@Gulron Could always go int main stat and stack a fair amount of str via gear. I don't even understand why the skills are so limited. It's kind of frustrating, when you have in mind that you're going to be able to mix and match all the different skills and talents. I like a lot of stuff they've done with synergies. But a lot of the limiting stuff seems arbitrary to me.

@Uden Agreed!
