    • [Feedback] Limited mystic extract feels punitive - I stop playing

      From what I know, mystic extracts are gained only by leveling up mystic enchanting. Leveling get increasingly harder.

      This mean the player (me) has to be careful which enchant to extract or not. Furthermore, the level is being shared account wide.

      I like to try out some different builds for enchants (like we do with talents), and not spend 10h building my character, because of limited extracts.

      It is not even possible to purchase mystic extracts in the shop.

      It is punitive, the same as with early Diablo II preventing you from changing your talents.

      I'm lvl 87 right now, and leveling up is boring, long, and unpleasant (= rerolling good enchants that I could sell at AH). I don't want to grind extracts nor do I want to spend 10h planning ahead, I just want to play casually.

      It also feel contradictory with the design intention of free talents pick, builds exploration of Ascension server area52.

      This is enough for me to stop playing.

      *Just to be clear: Each time I use an extract, I may be shooting myself in the foot, and locking myself forever in a grind loop or wrong builds. Not a good feeling.

      Maybe make eldritch knight an epic enchant instead. And I suggest making it more easy to know from the description how much mana it gives. 1% total ? 1% missing ? 1% base ? Internal cooldown of 10sec ? 30% chance on hit ?

      The fantasy is linked to samuraï, katana (here's what I found on quick google search https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iaijutsu).

      I like the idea of having a "melee quick draw" enchant.

      I do not a reason to lock it to two-handed weapon, I can imagine a quick draw with two daggers for example.

      Maybe you think of something we all saw in animes or game, like https://youtu.be/wWZv13-2dEk?t=11 , or the Genji dash in Overwatch. Or Samurai in Skulk (https://skul.fandom.com/wiki/Samurai)

      However, your enchant is too complicated, too rich for an epic. I like the "Teleports the Caster 10 yards forward" (to reword "Fast dash forward" or something of that kind), and some "Draw stance" concept. The rest looks fuzzy to me.

      Please reminds us of what Static Shock description is exactly (or post a link to it).

      I also don't see any reason for self-casting earth shield to be two handed exclusive.

      Maybe just buff two handed tank existing talents/enchants instead would fix your issue ?

      0.5% per 1% missing. so 50% missing mean 25% damage less taken.

      75% mes 37.5% less damage taken.

      99% means 49.5% less damage taken.

      If you already have 49.5% less damage taken, I don't think you need to reduces by an extra 50% the damage taken with Final Stand ability.


      About the attack speed, this seem random. I think you should remove that.


      I like the idea of final stand, and it sharing a cooldown with ardent defender. I don't know if 10sec invincibility would trigger some abuse on some bosses (someone that know the game better than me may know).


      May be too powerful in pvp ?


      When your health drops below 0 you heal 1 damage

      Replace the wording by "Prevent you health from falling bellow 1".

    • Template for mystic enchants suggestions

      There could be a OPTIONAL* template for mystic enchant suggestion, like you see on github for issues.

      I am a newbie in this section of the forum, but something like this may be useful**:

      1. Tag [New] when your post is about adding one enchant.
      2. Do one post per mystic enchant if the enchants are unrelated.
      3. Tag [Rare], [Legendary] to indicate enchant rarity, etc if you have are proposing a single mystic enchant in the post.
      4. Give the enchant a name, and put it in the title of the post.
      5. Start the post with a short description of the enchant the player would see in the game.
      6. Each in a separate section, you can write:
      • What fantasy you are trying to fulfill (if there is one).
      • What kind of gameplay you like to see.
      • What category/categories (pvp, pve, leveling, dungeon, raid, fun, ...) it targets.
      • What beneficial associations with other enchant/spells/talents it would/could have.
      • What made you think about that enchant.
      • Inspiration (movies, games, historical events, etc...)

      *optional because all post are not necessary about adding mystic enchants.
      **I present it as a list here, but the idea is to have a template more than a list of rules.

      I don't think I have seen a unarmed focused legendary mystic enchant yet.
      It would be a nice addition. However I do not like your proposition. Why decreased hit chance, why 40% chance half damage received ? 20% attack speed buff ? How fast would you hit exactly ? Why increased critical damage ?

      The pummel idea is nice, but obviously PVP or leveling focused.

      I think reducing damage taken has no justifications, but you do need to enhance damage done in some way to compensate absence of weapon.

      There could be inspiration for more mystic enchants from countless martial arts or artistic work like Hajime no ippo or Rocky.

      Your post is long and hard to read. Maybe you can reduces his size, and reformat it in a way that makes it easier to read through it. I think providing a example of ingame description of the mystic enchant would also help.

      My thoughts:

      1. Would that be a shield if all it does is give arcane bonus damages ?
      2. All shaman shield have a on hit effect.
      3. Maybe give 2% spell hast per missile around caster, more significant.

      I think this has potential, it is the story of an Arcane mage influenced by a Shaman.

    • Holy radiance nerf :((

      When I took Holy radiance 1/2 months ago. It was to make BIG heal priest.
      The 12k critical heal are a divine blessing. Are now 7k at best...

      I realized that the new Holy radiance uses Penance... I wanted to build a HEAL without that. As already many mystic enchants uses penance, and penance is 3 small heals. I want big numbers. I want to feel like a HOLY PRIEST, not a DISC PRIEST (yeah I played priest a lot...).

      I don't want to spam sacred light either (paladin's big heal), I want to spam Greater Heal !

      My point is the following. I want to spam Greater Heal and see big numbers. Let me play this fantasy, whatever the mystic enchant is.

      Here is the build I am currently using, this should help the reader getting a better grasp of my situation.

      PS: Holy radiance, before change, made greater heal also heal 25% of the allies having renew on them, this number is enough to me, it could even be lower and not bother me.

      PS 2: I do dungeon, and some mythics, did one raid, my healing was ok compared to the others healer, I expected to be somewhat less efficient then the druid type of healer.
