I'm having issues getting -into- the game. I'm running Linux Mint 21.1 (Vera)

I followed the install instructions for Ubuntu here:

The game always boots from:
~/.config/projectascension/WoW.resources/client
$ wine Ascen*

It boots up fine. Logs in fine.
I can select a realm then it says 'authentication successful'
It goes to grab my characters and hangs every time - same error.

The command line is saying:
0130:err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 7BC62360 "dlls/ntdll/loader.c: loader_section" wait timed out in thread 0130, blocked by 0024, retrying (60 sec)

It will say this error over and over and eventually, I'll get the "Ascension is not responding pop-up".

I read in another post to download the current Wine and reinstall from the beginning and I have and still get the same error.

Any direction would be really appreciated as it appears to be failing some sort of authentication?

Hello,

I'm using Manjaro and the game loads up fine, I log in, select a realm, then the game just hangs during 'retrieving character list'. It shows the number of available characters before that load screen. (so it is connecting...)

Not on a VPN either. Everything works fine in Windows but I'd really prefer to get Manjaro going if I missing something.

Any help would be great!
