Remove arena points weekly cap?

Why is this even a thing? When there is no honor points cap that you can get weekly, no dungs cap that you can do weekly. Why put a chain on pvp in arenas? They are almost dead even without it, why make it worse?
Arena points weekly cap should be removed and you should be able to gain arena points when ever you want and can.
This current way it is it just make people stop doing arena when they get to the limit of arena points (which now in this season is 1500 for 1 week which is like nothing). 1 piece of gear.
People need gear = they need arena points for it. If they make 1500 in a day and can't get more why would they even play arena after hitting the cap when they get nothing? Barely who plays just for rating when they need new gear. People have a lot of characters and a lot of specs that they need different gear for and this cap just makes it annoying and painful to get with people losing interest in arenas. This just makes queues longer and reduces the interest in arenas.
If people don't get arena points for games that they play, barely who will play, meaning arena will be even more dead than it is now.Eatmyswords, Area 52
