Ascension launcher broken. Perpetually stuck downloading the last few MB and can't launch

I had this same problem a few minutes ago, I managed to fix it just by pausing the verification process of a file the size of 3.6GB, I paused it twice and it worked, try this

When I had this same problem I cleared cache and repaired launcher but was still throttling down to 0 B/S on the last few MB. I restarted my computer after doing the above and it worked for me. Hope you've been able to fix it.

@Cyber027 Thanks, I tried but didn't have luck. It did launch once before and I don't know how I triggered it but I also paused it at the time. I've completely nuked the ascension launcher. After reinstalling from scratch I can launch. How annoying...
