A Survival Challenge mode with a "Fatigue" mechanic.

I'm really enjoying Ascension but I long for a different sort of Survival Mode compared to what is currently offered. I love running dungeons and I think it's a shame that being in this kind of hard-core survival mode and grouping for dungeons are mutually exclusive. I'd really like to play a hunger/thirst survival mode, but it seems a shame to compromise some of the more fun parts of the game to do this.
My suggestion would be to allow people to do whatever content while in a new type of Survival+ Mode, but introduce a "Fatigue" meter. The idea being that in combination with thirst and hunger, you also have a general fatigue level. As you fight, or do instanced content in particular, you get exhausted. Running a single dungeon, manastorm, or battleground, for example, would fill half your bar, so that by the time that you exit, you need to rest and recuperate. Fatigue would impact your play - past a 75% threshold it would reduce your damage by 50%. At 90% you would also have a move debuff, slowing movement by 10%. At 100% you would collapse, and need to be healed by another player within a space of time or risk death.
Eating, drinking, and other "relaxing" activities like fishing (and perhaps a new mechanic of camping with tent/bedroll/campfire) would reduce your Fatigue level over time. Combining other crafting like wood cutting with building the camp would be icing on the cake.
