I am a casual gamer and I can not do Arena's. I get Arena point's for winning BG's, but can only spend those points on enchants. I can't buy the gear because I can't get a rating because I can't do Arena's. Might I suggest making PVP Gear upgrade-able? Meaning you could have like 3 levels of upgrade's to purchase with arena points, without gaining Arena Rating? It would take longer, but it would give the casual gamer a chance to compete on a more even playing field with those that can go into BG's with Arena gear? Us casual gamers are struggling to compete with those in top rated gear. Let us have a chance to have fun too!
@LordThanos I think this is a problem in a lot of games. If they implement changes like this, then it doesn't give anyone an incentive to play more or push harder content. Arguably that's the whole RPG fantasy. You play more, do harder content, get better gear, and eventually out perform those who don't play as well (or sometimes as much) as you do.
I'm also a casual gamer, so I get where you're coming from. It feels bad to get slapped really hard by others in better PvP gear than me. But I feel like this will get worked out as they continue balancing things in game, rather than just getting more gear. Almost every day that I open the launcher I see a fair number of PvP nerfs or balances.
@Xelis I hear really good pvpers complaining about broken builds. I don't see where they are worried about fixing broken builds, so I thought this may help some. We still have to do the grind and won't get the best gear as fast as those that play more and can do Arena's. It's just a way to grind for better gear once we hit 70 and get the honor gear and yet can't compete because of the gear gap. I know there will always be a skill gap with those on the top. I just think any help is much appreciated!
