Does This Game Need A Subscription

i had a friend irl and online that said they played this game and it needed a subscription
so i was wondering does this
i didnt see anything about it from the ads (yes youtube ones) and my free mmo alternives on my feed about it just curious
i made a account a few months back and didnt have space (yeah its kind of late) but i didnt see anything when i logged in
for the most part i dont want to get invested and have to pay for a subscription (litterally wont be on all the time since i got work duties issues and chores that take priority)

also sorry for late reply i was with my fiance for a few days and been busy with work
i actually started a little bit but yes this would be a lot better for me to play since i have friends that played this game
