Thinking of returning..

Hello! I'm not new to the server, but I am thinking about returning after a long hiatus.
I just want to know what the server has been like in the 4-6 months since I've left. How is the community? The gameplay?
I originally left because I had a poor experience on the Thrall server. I've never been great at PvP and many people were rude about it. Probably a dumb reason to leave, but I was just tired of it.
If I were to play now, I'd probably stick to just the challenges (ironman, nightmare, resolute) and play solo. Before I try any of that, though, is there anything I should know before starting again?

@Liatris Oh if you are interested in challenges there are TONS more challenges available atm.
Also unless you absolutely need to play on Thrall, I would hop on League (Archimonde) and enjoy the new stuff there. Once the league ends, you can transfer characters to either Thrall or Area anyways so you don't really lose anything by playing Archimonde atm.

@Liatris The Seasonal Realm, which has all these new "Trials", as they're called, is very lively, community-wise. The trials are fun but almost all are 1-life challenges, but doing them rewards you with neat cosmetics.
I don't know how long you have been on hiatus for, but if you're into prestige, you can get heirloom gear now, which scales as you level.
