Launcher won't install

Recently my launcher updated, then asked to do a repair. This has happened before.

But, this time when I hit the repair button; the launcher uninstalled itself. So, I tried to run the launcher installer and it couldn't rename the .exe for some reason. So I deleted the folder and tried to install fresh.

Nope. That doesn't work ether. I next through the wizard and where it would switch to a progress bar for the installation, nothing. It just closes. Run it again, same thing. It will not install.

Do this project being what it is. I can't find anyone having this problem before nor any fix I can find.

Suggestions appreciated.

@Rosaile Hello there! This is the first time I ever see someone having this issue.

Could you try to get rid of everything related to the launcher and game itself and install it again via the launcher installer?

You can also try to install it to a different location or drive.

@TastyGM Ok, changing the file location for installation and ran the wizard. It ran and seemed to complete. Thou I didn't get a closing window saying it was complete.

I check the file location and no launcher.exe
Looks like everything else is there. Just no launcher.exe
I downloaded the new installer before doing this.

@TastyGM Okay! I fingered it out. AVG thought the Launcher was a threat and killed it.

I disabled AVG and it installed with no problems.
