Updated Ironweave set bonus and stats
Ironweave set is extremely good for mana forged barrier or any cloth tank at level 60. However the stats could be bumped a little higher mainly the hit rating and defense. With casters needing 17% hit rating and also a defense rating of 140 it’s kind of hard to hit these goals having to focus so hard on the stats.
I know you guys have made your own set bonuses in the past and I feel like this set could use some major love. Here is an idea I have for a suggestion
2 set - increases your armor value from items by 20% and increases threat generated from all skills by 100%
4 set - when struck in combat, you have a 5% chance to gain 20% of your total mana. This can only occur once every 10 seconds.
6 set - your hit rating is increased by 25% of your intellect
8 set - your defense rating is increased by 100% of your intellect
@Trox ???????????? no?
@Trox you have some interesting ideas in terms of benefits but the numbers you are putting forward would.... not be good for the game to say the least.
I'll try to construct some numbers that are a bit more in line with existing set pieces of the same tier for the purpose of example.
3 set - increases your armor value from worn cloth armor by 15% and increases threat generated from spells by 20%
5 set - when struck in combat, you have a 5% chance to gain 10% of your total mana. This can only occur once every 10 seconds.
8 set - your defense rating is increased by 5% of your intellect
@OffMetaGamer ironweave is already your BiS for most pieces the entirety of classic and you want isanely strong set bonuses you ca get day 1 of classic while other classes get +200 armor and 20 ap, be realistic here, its dungeon gear that has insanely good stats, every piece is BiS for the majority of the game, no reason it needs any buffs atleast until shield tank gets proper dungeon gear and the other tank types get a bonus similar in power but then every build in the game would want one, so it's just not realistic to do any major changes to a dungeon set bonus
