Multiple Pets, Yes or No?
-
Greetings all,
I was wondering what opinion does everyone have about pets, should we have multiple or not?
My opinion is multiple, simply because I like having pets. Have a Commander Pet and then have lesser pets follow it. The Commander Pet is the first one summoned, with the rest that follow being lesser pets. Lesser Pets don't have the full power of a normal pet. The Lesser Pets are only 50% Effective compared to the Commander Pet who is a normal pet.
I believe this would solve the issue of multiple different pets that are currently in the game. If one has to spend 2 to 6 points to gain a pet, then for each pet purchased should be able to be summoned as Lesser Pets after the first one summoned.
Sincerely,
Thrior -
@Thrior I will like have multiple pets too but i think they write it is some system problem with this multiple pets and becose this problem is imposible make multiple pets (i am no programmer but i think all on this world is posible when you have imagination )

@WiliemDemon Greetings WilliemDemon
I believe you are correct on the fact for permanent pets. Though I know that they can change the programming structure to fit whatever needs they have. If we get enough people to recognize the value of something, eventually something will pull through with the developers.Though I believe why they do not do it is simply the ability for an entire group to accomplish a raid with all the pets. Just food for thought.

@Thrior It would require some rebalancing and new tech to let players control multiple pets, but a lot of players absolutely love "summoner" classes that control a lot of pets. It'd be super popular if they ever added support for this, even if it ended up being weak compared to other builds. It'd be very satisfying to play.

@Dysprosium Over on the Mystic Enchants forum I made a post titled "Zookeeper" asking exactly for this, a Legendary RE that removes the 1-pet restriction (but nerfs player-based dmg in exchange for balance)
All I want is a Diablo II necromancer-style char, where I have an army of pets at my command while I sit back and Curse enemies to boost their dmg.
I came close in Season 7 - I had no Permanent pets, but I was able to summon multiple pets via Infernal, Treants(with the +3 treant RE) and Hand of Gul'dan to spawn imps, and it did okay dps with a Boomkin build backing it up. Just a shame that Water Ele, Treants, all the Tame pet types, Shadow Fiend etc all share that slot (Which some did NOT in Retail - treants were considered summons, not actual pets with hotbars and should never take a pet slot, they're functionally the same as Wild Imps from Hand of Gul'dan)
