I need help building Shadow Hunter and Necromancer
Was Building Shadow Hunter as Night elf.
My dmg on PvE mobs was so low and can't even Escape with Vanish Rouge skill. The Game Play of this build is shadow poke DoT and quick escape.
On Necromancer build I didn't get what the skills on death knight does on undead I though I could raise the dead with that 1 skill hahahaha
Except that one skill, none of the death knight abilities are out yet.
You will have to define what you are looking for when you say shadow hunter.
I am assuming:
Ranged bow attacks
With that in mind, you can use the legendary enchant of Harbinger of Pestilence
With the Wrath of the Plague, Wild Wrath and Shadow Arrow as your 3 epic enchants.
You will want 3 of the rare enchants improved insect swarm, pain and punishment, dark torment and improved shadow word: pain.
Make sure you pick up careful aim from marksman hunter so that you INT converts to ranged attack power. You should then be able to take normal spell caster cloth gear and be INT based for more spell power.
If you have a disease using undead pet, you could pick up furious inspiration to buff your steady shots and give the whole party +3% damage.
You then use your warlock dots, haunt, steady shot into wrath to keep insect swarm up and with the pain and suffering talent you can use mind flay to keep shadow word pain up.
@Ironcloak You assumed right sir but I don't know what shadow form does but it sounds good hehehe
ranged bow attack
Invis or disengage from close range to long range
shadow form if possible for skill points
thanks for the build you wanted to test that out hehehe
This is how I would play it. It is thematically more like a dark ranger than shadow hunter and I had to substitute tame beast in the builder for dominate undead.
Weapons: Spell weapon, off hand item (+6%), bow
Armor: INT/hit cloth
Stance: Shadow Form
Weapon Enchant: Spell Stone
Blessing: Might (because you should not have mana issues)
Pet: Undead with Plague feature
If you can not get to 17% hit for spells, trade out talents for precision
Start of boss fights:
Autoshot --> Black Arrow --> Arcane Power --> Insect Swarm --> Shadow Word: Pain --> Corruption
This gets your 3 snapshot features up as powerful as possible, you should not have to cast them again because:
Insect Swarm will be refreshed by Steady Shot-->Wrath
Shadow Word: Pain will be refreshed by Mind Blast (As will the talents Shadow Embrace & Shadow Weaving)
Corruption will be refreshed by Haunt
Make sure to cast these when needed so you don't lose the buff.
Steady Shot then Wrath - every 8 seconds
Mind Blast - every 15 seconds
Haunt - every 12 seconds
Cast Black Arrow on Cooldown which has been reduced to 12 seconds with talents and enchants. You can go a little later because it goes for 15 seconds.
Cast Devouring Life, Unstable Affliction, Seed of Corruption, Curse of Agony when they drop off.
If you have any free time which is rare, use steady shot.
For mobs, you want to AOE so pick a target then use
Insect Swarm, Wrath, Wrath, Haunt and it will trigger the bile explosion.
/castsequence reset=combat/5 Steady Shot, Wrath, Mind Blast, Haunt, Steady Shot, Wrath, Unstable Affliction, Devouring Plague, Wrath, Black Arrow
This is the sequence that I used and it kept up Insect Swarm, Corruption, SW:Pain and Shadow Weaving, Shadow Embrace and HoP with high up time on everything else. Since Steady Shot is not affected by spell haste, you do need to reduce the cast time with ranged attack speed talents like serpent's swiftness or efficency. I recommend efficency.
As much as I like black arrow, I may play around with the devouring epic enchant instead because almost any movement made me drop the juggle.
