Game crashes after selecting a character

After I select a character the loading screen pops up, load like a 5% and then just freeze and crash. I already tried clearing the cache and repairing the client.

This sounds similar to the issue I've been experiencing. The client shows as not responding in Task Manager, though if I let it sit ~5-10 minutes it seems to load into game.
Performance is sub-par though once you do get in.
Sad to say I'm glad I'm not the only one!

@Hoaqin Do you get an error after the crash? If yes please take a screenshot and post it.
If you're not running ascension launcher as admin, do so, right click->run as administrator.
If you are unable to sign in, please set your Display Name.
