Parallels M1 Macbook Air
-
Hi! I'm trying to play using Parallels on my macbook air m1 (Running MacOs Sonoma).
I got the launcher to work and installed the game but i'm getting the next error
As far as i know it's trying to load a .dll and it says on the lower left corner "No dll".
Did someone manage to fix this?
Thanks

@Raptorbk I found a fix for this issue. Hope it helps someone else, if you skip the MSI installation of Ascension then the runtimes won't be installed, for the DLL to load onto Ascension you'll need to install them yourself. DotNet is already installed most likely, but VC Redis will not and the game will not crash when DLL is not loaded. You'll need to download and install every VC-Redist x64 and x86 (Not ARM) From Visual Studio 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 to Visual Studio 2008 (VC++ 9.0) SP1 (no longer supported) ([You can find those here])(https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170).
Also when i first played the camera spinned all over the place, you'll have to stop the VM and open configuration for it on parallels, go to hardware and then to Mouse & Cursor, set Mouse to "Optimized for gaming"
Keep in mind that i executed the game directly from Ascension.exe but launcher works just fine, it's because of testing that i do that.
There's a small delay on the cursor, if someone nows a fix i'll be glad to hear it, it most likely has something to do with Parallels because it present on the desktop not only on the game.
Also you may need to execute the launcher/ascension with Admin Privileges for it to work. Sometimes the game launches through the launcher but mostly it does not, i suggest entering the launcher every so often to update and then go to the game folder /resources/client/ and launche Ascension.exe with Admin privileges.

@Raptorbk How did you managed to install the launcher? I've tried using parallels win11 arm, but it doesn't support it, tried on crossover as well, there i got wow error 132 every time, tried it on UDM, it was the same as Crossover. I even tried to emulate it on Debian Linux but didn't succeed.
Any help would be appreciated!
