Not to be rude, but I have to stir the pot..

Is it standard practice for [STAFF] to be rude to players on the forums?
I noticed a very, very minor macro bug and reported it to the Bugtracker with an offer of what would be a simple fix. Two [STAFF] replied. One was very kind and said they'd look into it, while the other insinuated that I am incompetent and that's why it's not working. Unbeknownst to him, I have 15 years of WoW experience, regularly use macros of all sorts, and when the macro failed I spend 2 hours(lliterally) online researching to see if I had something wrong and trying every combination of macros possible without any of them working.
Considering this was first experience posting on the Forums, and my first experience interacting with [STAFF], it was not a very good take away.

@Warden01 https://ascension.gg/bugtracker/view/27782 you mean this one? I wouldn't say he was rude, but his wording could've been better, sure. But if he's right, he answered your question, and I would hope it was because he did research it and realized you were using a player-skill macro vs a pet skill macro.
Just because you have 15 years of wow experience doesn't mean you know everything or better than anyone else necessarily, and on a pserv where everything is heavily customized, it's even harder to be sure.
I don't even use macros and I found this after googling for just a few mins: https://us.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/t/hunter-pet-family-ability-macro/523869

/cast [pet: Spirit Beast] Spirit ShockSo you'd just change Spirit Beast to your Pet and Spirit Shock to Frost Nova, unless that's what you already had in your macro. Try with and without the space after the []s

@Drayth:
Yup. I used that and every variation of it and then went online and looked for everything online too and none of it worked. I made sure to select the spell from my pets abilities and not my own. Nothing worked.
