@THRobinson Heya! Great to have you come over to Ascension, and I might be able to explain a couple things. First, which realm are you playing on? The reason I ask deals with the "Mystic Enchant" systems are different for each realm.
If you are playing the Free-Pick realm, Area 52, instead of learning abilities from the trainers when you first learn them, you go into the Talent/Spell area (Press N) and learn the spells you want through there, then the trainers will teach you the higher ranks. This is a classless type server, so most spells you will learn through that area, and you can combine classes as well for example.
On the other realm, its a seasonal realm called Elune. On this realm rather than choosing your spells, you can roll for your first 4 spells, then at level 10 you will get both a new spell and a new talent, both random. Then you will learn new spells every even level (10, 12, 14, etc) like in normal wow, but randomly rolled, and you will learn a new talent every level. Same idea with learning higher ranks is you either speak with the Ascension book to learn the new level of stuff, or you go to each trainer to learn the higher ranks.
