Def stance with parry tank

Hi all, I had a question for this server. I've been working with RF on my parry tank because I assumed that Def stance wouldn't work. Anyone know if the "60% chance to block fierce blows" works with parry tank? I'm assuming not since you can't "block" with a 2h but figured I would ask.

Correct, you can not block if you do not have a shield.
Def stance is still good because it increases threat like RF but has better defense instead of higher spell threat. If you are using Devastate and Ghostly Strike, it may be better than RF.
