The Battleground Reward System is Immensely Flawed.
-
I am immensely confused by the rewards system for Battlegrounds. Let me paint a simple picture many have experienced:
- You enter a battleground. Play through it. Lose because the enemy played better or had better builds through the RNG system of Wildcard.
- The enemy wins extra scrolls, loot, and experience. You get no scrolls, less loot, and less experience.
Now let's break this down for JUST a moment:
- The team that won has already proven that they have good builds and mastery over the game. They deserve the better loot, but...
- The losing team lost due to poor builds or lesser mastery of the game systems, both of which could be aided by giving them scrolls to fix up their builds and make them a bigger threat next time.
I understand that the winning team should be rewarded, and giving both teams and equal amount of scrolls just encourages brainless farming or even botting... HOWEVER, this has also created a system where the rich get richer. Those with good builds are going to continue to win and make their builds even stronger, while the losers are left to try again and hope they get a stronger teammate to carry them so they can get scrolls and HOPE to one day become that strong teammate.
Game knowledge only goes so far when the enemy has RNG on their side by: Rolling all the right talents and abilities, which allows them to twoshot you through a combo requiring 7 specific abilities and 20 different, fully upgraded talents all working synergistically.
I'm not asking to penalize the winner. I'm asking why the loser, who clearly needs the help, isn't even getting a pity scroll. I suggest the loser randomly gets one scroll of fortune, to be used on talents or abilities. It could also be a random roll between fortune or talents.
