How many decades are going to pass until you guys realize ganking lowbies is not an enjoyable activity for the vast majority of us

PVP is never going to be fair, there is always going to be someone with better gear, and/or a higher level, and/or even a more optimized build. These these 3 things in combination means PVP is nothing un an unfun lowbie ganking activity. Well I got news for you, the vast majority of us avoid PVP like the plague because we find ganking lowbies to be unfun, and pretty lame. It's not like we want to avoid PVP we just find the entire concept as it stands to be repulsive/boring.
Now if you want us all to participate in PVP and bring the WAR back to WARCRAFT, how about fixing these 3 things:
- Gear
- Levels
- Build
Now, that's impossible to fix one at a time.
There is one thing that can fix all this at the same time, and lots of us are running with it already it's a DPS calculator. This dandy tool tells us our average DPS and our peak DPS, and how much damage we are mitigating. Now if the game were to automatically downgrade a player that's doing too much DPS, or mitigating too much damage, in relation to another player they are fighting in PVP then this would be great.
"Yeah but muh optimized build."
Kill 2 birds with one stone. This would nerf top optimized builds in real time without the devs having to balance anything. How many times have you guys complained about, "there's only a few top builds, yatta yatta yatta." (points to my idea) There just solved that problem, and you could also apply it to PVE.
Would you rather theorycraft to the same handful of top DPS builds, and have the entire PVE game balanced around that (that means mobs are impossible if you're not running the top builds), or would you rather have a far wider variety of FUN things to play or even roleplay with. There's that word "fun", do you want to have fun? You know...fun.
"OK then a player could exploit this system by lowering their average DPS by slow auto-attacking mobs."
It depends how it is optimized. Would it take 5 minutes to change the average DPS or 5 hours? Again this is also another bonus if you were to think abou tit. A player doesn't have to give it their 150% best effort 100% of the time, optimizing their rotation in the most optimized way humanly possible 24/7....you know sometimes we just want to relax and chill, and have "fun", while we're relaxing and having "fun" we're charging our character for the big fight. Bonus. This is a plus, not a negative.
The idea is simple. Depending on your average DPS and damage mitigation over say an hour, your character gets downgraded to the zone your in or the other player you are fighting. Otherwise we're never going to participate in PVP, never, not in the last 20 years and not in the next upcoming 20 years, and devs are going to be banging their heads against the wall trying to balance all this SH...Balance levels with gear with build, PvE vs PvE. This dev team is taking on a quantity of balancing multi-billion dollar gaming companies can barely take on.

@DisplayedName Am I understanding you right; you want the devs to program, design and integrate a DPS meter into the system, then code it so it can automatically hard-cap the damage you deal after a certain point, able to distinguish between PvE and PvP DPS and make it so it also works across every level and puts you into different world instances depending on that???

Why doesn't this post show up in forums? But still someone can see it to reply to? I'm confused.

DPS meters already exist, devs don't need to make a new one.
No not hard cap DPS, in real time nerf the DPS the higher the DPS goes up (above X at Y level) as the SKADA DPS shows.

All PvE content is balanced around a short list of alpha classes doing massive DPS, that means if your not building exactly one way you can't do any PvE content.
The difference between alpha class builds, in particular DPS and damage mitigation, and everyone else is way too great. How many decades have to pass? We're on decade #3 now. It's been over 20 years now.
