Im using Primordial Fury which deals "Elemental Damage"
'Elemental damage is a combination of the Nature, Fire and Frost schools and will benefit from the highest modifier to either of these schools'

I guess this is refering to Bonus Spell Damage to these specific schools, but what about things like talents/abilities which grants for example 5% increased frost damage would that stack with another talent that gives 5% fire damage?
how about talents like Dual Wield Specialization from the enhancement shaman tree which increases Fire, Frost and Nature damage dealt by 6%, would it increase the "Elemental Damage" by 18%
or how about Stormstrike which increase nature Damage taken by 20% and then also using Improved stormstrike which also increase Fire and Frost damage taken by 10%?
is that a total of 40% increased "Elemental Damage"?

And how do resistances work? will it use the targets lowest resist of these schools?

@Mizzajl good to know but this 'benefit from the highest modifier to either of these schools' = when you have like +15% fire damage and +10% frost damage = only fire +15% damage work (and frost is useless) (same SP and critikal rate i think)

and resistances no know 😞 mabie lowest from this 3 elements (nature, fire and frost)

          @WiliemDemon Okay thanks.

anyone know how it works for if my frost spell damage is my highest spell damage school (from using frostbrand weapon for example) but my +% fire damage is my highest type of %damage increase?

would it use my Frost SP and then my %Fire Damage?
or would it calculate which would be higher of my (Fire SP + %Fire Damage) or (Frost SP + %Frost Damage)

and is there a differentiation between talents/abilities that increase my damage for a school and debuffs on enemies that increase their damage taken with a specific school?

maybe my %fire or frost damage is my highest but stormstrike might give the highest %damage taken debuff for %Nature damage.

@Mizzajl To be fair, I've actually used things like Creative Destruction, Fiery Barrage, and Calculated Demolition as Astral Bomber.

Astral Flare actually triggers all three effects to activate. However, due to two of them being damage bonuses, it doesn't gain the damage increase from both of them.

However, it CAN trigger Creative Destruction in one cast and then consume it on the next cast.

Elemental damage deals nature-fire-frost damage, triggers effects that go under the 'shaman', 'fire' 'frost' 'nature' 'magic damage' and 'spell' tags, and will deal your strongest spell school of the three to the target.

This calculation, AFAIK, is carried out in parallel. You're basically throwing an invisible separate frost, fire, and nature spell at the target, and the one that return the greatest number gets used to calculate damage.

Damage is in turn calculate based on the target's vulnerabilities to damage, and Elemental damage presumably hits the resistance that is lowest, then applying the highest single damage% modifiers, then returning a HP damage value.
