RE: Legendary RE: Piercing Shadows [New Version]
Another suggestion that would greatly benefit hunter-hybrid builds like this one: change the Mental Quickness talent so that it also increases your bonus spell damage based on your ranged attack power (not just melee attack power).
-
Legendary RE: Piercing Shadows [New Version]
Your physical Hunter abilities now deal additional Shadow damage, scaling with your Shadow spell damage, and grant you Piercing Shadows when they critically hit, which increase the damage of your Mind Blast, Shadow Word: Pain and Vampiric Touch abilities by 30% and 10% of your Agility, stacking up to 3 times. Requires Shadowform to be active.
Your Mind Blast no longer reduces healing done to the target but your Black Arrow has a 30% chance to trigger Darkness whenever it deals damage (requires rank 3 of the Darkness talent). Additionally, your Instant Poison can also trigger your Shadow Weaving talent (if known) and your Steady Shot extends the duration of Black Arrow by 3 seconds, up to its maximum duration.
Killing an enemy afflicted by Black Arrow refreshes its cooldown and causes an explosion of shadow magic, scaling with Mind Blast modifiers, to all nearby enemies.
-
Legendary RE: Piercing Shadows
Your Chimera Shot is transformed into Ominous Shot, which instantly deals 140% weapon damage plus 50% of the damage done by your Black Arrow while active. Requires a bow equipped.
Your Steady Shot and Aimed Shot criticals increase the armor reduction effect of your active Scorpid Sting by 5%, stacking up to 4 times, and your Black Arrow now also increases the armor penetration of all your ranged attacks against the target by 10%.
While Piercing Shots is active, your Instant Poison grants you a stack of Ominous Poison, extending the duration of Black Arrow by 3 seconds and increasing the damage of your Piercing Shots bleed effect by 20%, stacking up to 5 times. Casting any non-Shadow or non-physical Hunter shot resets all stacks. Upon reaching 5 stacks, your next Ominous Shot spell will trigger no cooldown and cost no mana.

RE: Intercept sharing CD with Charge makes no sense
well, the things is, there is no need to silence or interrupt if they can't reach you
-
RE: Intercept sharing CD with Charge makes no sense
casters and ranged overall have always had many ways to deny the gap closing even before the change. As u said, their toolkit is absurd (traps, frost nova, entangling roots, concussive shot, slow, curse of exhaustion, fear, poly, death coil, shadowfury, etc.) and yet these abilities don't share cd with each other... how is that fair? u don't even get the chance to reach them before u die. the retail warrior perspective still makes sense in ascension, there's nothing overpowered about having both charge and intercept
-
Intercept sharing CD with Charge makes no sense
Warriors have always had the capability of having two gap closers for a reason... casters keep spamming their frostbolt or whatever and melee can never get to reach them. I realize that melee can still use Disengage and Blink but it's obviously not the same thing. Even with talents which improve the gap closer (like the Warbringer talent), melee still struggle too much to keep casters in melee range. Please reconsider this change because making all gap closers share CD is not the solution...

RE: LF Master of Shadows Build
hello there! If you are looking for a PVE build, mainly for endgame content, feel free to check out mine Here's the link: https://ascension.gg/v2/builder/area-52/overview/96663ffa-1223-421f-94cc-6e9a114241cd
(it seems that the calculator does not show the build as well as in-game but it should be close enough)

RE: Shadow caster LRE's
I like your suggestion for a "Master Drainer LRE". Perhaps i would add something like Malefic Rapture, which deals direct damage to the target and all enemies nearby according to the amount of Shadow DoT's you have on the target. Or perhaps even just a flat increase to Drain Soul damage. Or even extending the effect of Nightfall so that you can cast Haunt or Mind Blast instantly while your Shadow Trance is active.

RE: Suggestion for Hasty Uncommon RE's
@Rubis thanks for your reply! i can see your point but i still think that these Uncommon RE's should be way more useful than they usually are...

Suggestion for Hasty Uncommon RE's
So, while I was creating the LRE "Devouring Quiver" seen in the suggestions below, I wanted to reduce the cooldown of Black Arrow. So, I noticed the Rare RE called "Resourcefulness", which does the same as the talent itself but in a smaller scale. On the other hand, there is an Uncommon RE called "Hasty Black Arrow", which gives the exact same cooldown reduction as the Resourcefulness RE. So my question is: given that we can pick as many Rare RE's as we want instead of Uncommon RE's (until the limit is reached ofc), what is the advantage of picking RE's such as "Hasty Black Arrow" when RE's such as "Resourcefulness" exist?
I think that some Hasty Uncommon RE's should have a bigger cooldown reduction. I'm sure this is not the only example of useless RE's that can be found. In this case, changing the cooldown reduction of "Hasty Black Arrow" from 2 seconds to 3 or 4 seconds would give players a reason to pick this RE.

RE: Legendary RE: Devouring Quiver
my main objective with this RE is to create a "dark-ranger"-type build which incentivizes players to:
- play as a marksman that uses arrows as ammunition only
- pick abilities such as Chimera Shot (or in this case, Devouring Shot), which has become quite irrelevant when compared with Explosive Shot, and Black Arrow, which is the most iconic ability for this theme
- use poison as an important part of their gameplay
- fire shots that deal physical or Shadow damage
- deal periodic Shadow damage through Devouring Plague (a DoT which fits the theme, lasts for a long time and does not have almost any talent modifiers, also benefiting from Shadowform) while simultaneously being able to scale with Agility and ranged attack power, which is fundamental to Hunter builds
- devour their enemies while dealing critical damage with their shots!
-
Legendary RE: Devouring Quiver
While in Shadowform, your Aimed Shot and Steady Shot criticals now apply a stack of Lingering Shadows on your target, extending the duration of Black Arrow by 3 seconds and increasing its damage by 20%, stacking up to 5 times. Casting any non-Shadow or non-physical Hunter shot resets all stacks.
While Piercing Shots is active, your Instant Poison applies a stack of Devouring Poison, increasing the damage of Devouring Plague on your target by 40% and 8% of your attack power for 8 seconds, stacking up to 3 times.
Your Chimera Shot is transformed into Devouring Shot, dealing Shadow damage based on your ranged weapon damage, which scales with Chimera Shot modifiers, and additional damage equal to 30% of the total periodic effect of Devouring Plague while active on your target.
Killing an enemy afflicted by Black Arrow refreshes its cooldown and spreads Devouring Plague and the stacks of Devouring Poison to all enemies within 10 yards.

RE: LEGENDARY: Ghost Wolf ( Form )
@Chappinhas very cool! Nice job

RE: Auto Shot : Auto Throw
@Chappinhas don't forget that rogues have the Deadly Throw ability, perhaps you could use it in this RE as well
-
RE: Legendary RE: Wailing Quiver
@Chappinhas hey, about your suggestions, i think that your idea on instant poison applying a debuff which increases Shadow damage is very interesting and i am considering it.
However, i wanted CoA (not any other DoTs) to deal a significant portion of the damage around this RE, which is why i made it so that it could be reapplied while simultaneously not losing its stacks. As you know, the damage of CoA builds up as it reaches its full duration. The purpose of this RE is to maintain CoA at its maximum damage.
Perhaps this concept is unpractical, since it takes some time for the damage to build up but i can't figure out how to make CoA an actual viable DoT without being able to reapply it.
-
Legendary RE: Wailing Quiver
Your arrows are now generated with black magic, which causes your Hunter shots to cost no ammo. Aimed Shot and Steady Shot criticals extend the duration of Black Arrow by 3 seconds and grant you Baneful Impact, which increases the damage of your Curse of Agony by 40% and 10% of your attack power for 6 seconds, stacking up to 2 times. Instant Poison now applies a debuff that increases the Shadow damage taken by your target by 10%, stacking up to 3 times.
Your Chimera Shot is transformed into Black Shot, an ability that deals 150% weapon damage and scales with Chimera Shot modifiers. In addition, it causes Black Arrow to tick 50% faster over its duration. Dealing periodic damage with Black Arrow has a 30% chance to grant you Wailing Quiver, causing your next Aimed Shot to deal additional Shadow damage and apply Curse of Agony while maintaining its current damage level.
Killing an enemy afflicted by Black Arrow refreshes its cooldown and inflicts Curse of Agony to all enemies within 10 yards, maintaining the damage level of the victimβs curse.
(Requires a bow and does not work with Hunter pets or demons. <- it would make sense themewise)
