it doesn't have to be a big mana cost reduction, by just reducing 10/15% mana cost it is already doing a lot and people will start to take the ability into account, besides you already have "concentrated" green RE's that reduce mana costs, so it fits.

also expand a bit the area only for the dot on mobs since it is really small, for the rest, I think this would make the RE viable for melee.

Make Shiv (Rogue) viable
Literally if you spec into it, it is a high energy cost ability with no good outcome besides, maybe, some poison procs which are not even that good, and it spends A LOT OF ENERGY for no damage.
Idea: add an effect to Savage Combat
Shiv now costs 25/50% less energy and deals 50/100% more damage if your weapon is a dagger, and when your Shiv deals Instant Poison damage from Instant Poison or a fully stacked Deadly Venom, Instant Poison deals 50/100% increased damage.
This is considering, that Shiv deals like 150 damage, which lets be honest, it's sh*t damage at level 70.
Like this, it can at least be competitive with other energy spenders. Besides, it is literally the class icon for rogues, IT SHOULD BE VIABLE.

it could also increase the damage from those drains, that LRE needs something to make it viable, cause it really sucks.

@WiliemDemon Demonic Resillience doesn't increase your aggro, it increases YOUR DEMON'S aggro, and good luck having a summoned demon holding all the aggro and surviving.
To be fair it is really badly written, I also thought it increased my aggro, it doesn't.

This, and considering the nerf you did on the drains inderictly when you changed Fel Concentration, which used to reduce the cast time by 10% instead of the one we have currently which provides nothing of use for affliction.

@DoubleDiamond you can't dodge parry or block when casting anyways, so in a sense it is fine if you are a spell tank, the thing is that you need to be able to have the miss chance work correctly.

the thing is that waiting on corruption to finish to it's last tick, thats a lost of time to apply an AoE, if you are a DOT shadow dealer you better do that your self. I'm currently using RE Pestilence to spread Corruption, it kinda works well, but I shouldn't have to if we have a talent that does just that, and I'm a caster.

Buff Mind Over Matter
Right now it's miss chance only works with melee auto attacks, up to 15% barely, abilities, and all of the other sort don't work properly with the miss chance, and you would need at least 125% INT to Def Rating and the miss chance working correctly for this to be viable on it's own with no other buffs or reworks, I would just recommend you to change the miss chance given by Def Rating into an aura skill that simply grants the same amount of miss chance for spell, ranged and melee attacks and abilities, in that way you bypass all of the bugs that def rating has with diminishing returns.
