So I decided to create some list of Tameable ( Dragonkin / Undead / Demon ) pets with their spells.
The interface (you can show it with /zoo
slash command) is kinda ugly, needs some tweaks and does not contain all pets yet but it should have all undeads from undead starting location and duskwood and most low level dragonkins.
The problem is there are far too many pets to scan.
As of 16.06.2022 the list contains 129 entries.
So I am looking for Demon Hunters, Dragon Hunters and Undead Hunters to help me expanding this list.
If you have the ability to tame dragon/demon/undead pet and you download this addon, you will start seeing tooltips like these:
and
for known pets. It lets you know that NPC is tameable and already on the list of scanned mobs.
Long story short:
- If you do not want to help expanding list and just want to see whether NPC is tameable, just download and install addon.
- If you want to help me expanding list of NPCs, download and install addon and start catching pokemons. Err.. dragons or undeads or demons. Whenever you catch some new, it is automatically added to pokedex.. i mean addon DB and you can see it on the list as well as on the tooltip. You can then share your findings with me, sending me a file located in <Wow Folder>/WTF/Account/<Your Account>/SavedVariables/ named AscensionZoo.lua.
Also not all NPCs are tameable which is always an unexpected surprise (mainly when you abandon your previous pet to tame the new one). So I added function to mark NPC as not tameable, you can do it by typing /mu
in the chat while you are targetting npc.
The npc is saved to another db and whenever you mouseover that npc in the future, it will say "Marked Untameable" in red.
I added this feature just recently so when i was in the undead zones and met some untameable undead, i did not add them to the list.
Also typing /mu while targetting npc already added to the db, it will remove it from the db.
Last thing, a link to music to listen until we catch them all:
