Hello, I was just wondering about this new server. Now you don't have any Daily quest to go out in World PVP. What is the point for people to go out to the world?
Shouldn't you reward people to out side in high risk - PVP so we could get more PVP in this server?
I agree. My favorite type of PVP is world PVP. I set out to PVP on this server, but I felt like I should learn more about the free-pick style before I jumped into it.
So my plan was to level up and do some dungeons then PVP.
[I never used the dungeon finder before so here's my fresh take: It has been great for finding groups, but it's for sure bottlenecked with DPS over tanks/heals. With that said,] dungeon finder makes it so easy to just queue and teleport to dungeons. There is no reason to risk going out into the world.
Though I did hear, if you're high-risk PVP, you can't teleport to dungeons? Not sure how accurate this is.
I suppose with Dungeon Finder, there is no more World except safe havens of Capital Cities: and therefore just instances of PVP... Actually with the ability to group with Horde to Alliance is there a Warcraft going on at all?
If I were to suggest a solution or discuss one, for the problem of lack of World PVP and PVP in a general.
I would remove all
instancesin the game. Everyone would fight over mobs in the same zones.
Suppose I don't know how the loot / rolling would work, if everyone is inside the
instancezone, but I would think whoever gets the kill credit [raid, group, single player] would see and be able to loot a mob.
With all instances removed, there would be no need for Dungeon Finder. With the issue of not being able to easily queue up and join a dungeon with anyone we would also remove cross faction grouping, but I still want the ability to still send tells and understand their others factions languages.
Let's say a group was able to kill bosses, then have zone lock outs for those groups/guilds that have killed Y bosses of a 'zone' for X days.
I think this does a lot of things, for one it gives the reason for having a good reputation on a server that would be very competitive, you'll need to play nice to get along and do anything. Creates a better and more memorable community. It will also bring the World back to life, and having end game loot would mean more to people that would be able to claim it, after fighting a whole other faction and your own faction.
And actually the more I think of it, maybe factions should be split even more, by races, or FFA. Anyone can kill anyone.
I guess I'm dreaming of a perfect PVP server, but in essence, removing Dungeon Finder and instant teleportation, would bring World PVP back.
