"Unable to Connect, please try again later." ???

I was in a battleground, and i randomly got disconnected. Upon logging back in, I was greeted with:
"Unable to connect, please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact technical support at (stupid blizzard website)"
What's going on? Is the server down? Am I banned? This is weird. Never happened to me before.

Welp, I guess I changed my password for no reason, but at least this answers why I couldn't connect! Thanks for helping @baythor!

@RetroSeraphim I thought I had somehow gotten banned too. Glad to see this is actually a known issue and actively being worked on.

Same here, entered a dungeon and got kicked, and still can't log back in.

I just bought the upgrade to Azeroth and was able to log into the game and made accouple of toons last night. then I go to log into the game today and it shows what you posted and I thought oh great!!! I thought maybe " they" finely stepped in
