Hello I've been playing Ascension for 2 years off and on but was curious about what makes ascension legal to play I've searched through forms the wiki as well as the website and haven't found anything about this any help would be appreciated

@pythicon Hello there! You can find all legal information about private servers in Blizzard TOS and the respectives country law.

Closest thing I can find that covers ascensions situation is Blizzards custom game policy.

@Ragekrono That is indeed the most info you'll actually get on this type of situation.
Long story short. There's nothing illegal for players on our servers. The only "risk" you take is with your account on retail. That being said we have yet to see a single incident caused by playing on private servers to my knowledge.
While downloading a game client, you may run into your ISP sending a "scare letter", but again, you are doing nothing wrong, as it is not an active game, nor is it obtainable in any wayI hope this helps clear but a bit

Sorry I haven’t really been up-to-date with you guys. I’ve had to deal with some personal things in life. I’m still looking into a bunch of stuff related to this and the private server community and I’m wondering with this classed as a mod for World of Warcraft does that make it fall under custom game accountability use policy? Sorry if im geting Annoying about it it’s just a really interesting thing to look into at least for me lol
