Playing ascension on Steam deck?

I have tried install via proton compatibility layer but when I install that way I crash in character login. Should I try installing via the linux install process using manjaro guide. Technically they're both Arch based but steam os isn't officially supported.

@ChaoticHeart I tried the way on the guide on my steam deck too and get the same issue with crashing at the character select screen

I managed to get to the character screen, too. Is there any progress to get this game running on the Steam Deck?
I would really love to play Ascension on the Steam Deck.TurtleWow e.g. runs flawlessly on the Steam Deck just like retail WoW.

Just lumping my experience in there as well. Also stuck on character select screen on steam deck, completely freezes up when I get to that point.
I'm happy to go through and try to document some troubleshooting to get this running on the steam deck, if someone can point me in the right direction for some log files or something I can look into.
