Error #132 on launch
-
When I try to start/launch the game (not launcher), I get an Error #132 instead.
I have tried to verify the game, disable all addons, clearing cache, tried different settings from the launcher, Re-installed the game, updated nvidia driver to 522,25.
I still get the same error code/message:
ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception
Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCES_VIOLATION) at 0023:008D2412
the instruction at "0x008D2412" referenced memery at "0x00000000" the memory could not be "read"And yes, I am running the launcher as Admin.
Any idea of what could fix it? Kinda want it fixed before season 8

@hidd3n Hi! Did you try complete reinstall yet?
-
@TastyGM Yes I have, now twice. I was unsure if antivirus software had anything to do with it.
So I completely uninstalled the game (again), downloaded launcher from the website (today),
downloaded and installed the game again, without antivirus on.
Still the same error code; This application has encountered a critical error:
ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception
Program: E:\Ascension Launcher\resources\client\Ascension.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 0023:008D2412The instruction at "0x008D2412" referenced memory at "0x00000000".
The memory could not be "read".feels like I have tried everything.
I don't play any other wow servers, not even retail. -
@hidd3n Reading some Blizzard forum posts I stumbled upon this:
The memory error 132 /Black/White screen is connected to your GPU drivers and Direct x 11 /12. In my case I have a RX 580 radeon, this problem can be solved by downgrading your GPU drivers and changing the WoW settings to Direct x 11 . For some reason WoW is currently installing the game with DX 12 has default. For those who are having this problem at “startup” without being able to open the game like me just do the following ;;;
open your …World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF… , open your (config.wtf) file with note and change the "SET gxApi “D3D12” to D3D11 and try to re run the game.
This will change the directx settings from 12 to 11.

@Vamael Hi, I've now tried installing an older GPU driver, changed the config to D3D11 and OpenGL. None of that worked.
I've tried looking deeper into other wow forums, and some ppl suggests it's just sometimes windows, and getting either an update from game or windows might fix it later on, just by itself.
I Feel like, my best bet is too wait for updates ^^

what I tried before it got fixed:
The usual deleting cache, interface, wtf configs etc.
Downgraded GPU Driver
Forcing DX11, opengl or DX9
LAA (Large Address Aware)
Downgrading windows
FIXED! here's the list:
Re-installed windows,
Changed the directory of the game after new download&install
Download LAA (Large Address Aware)
Applied LAA on both wow.exe & Ascension.exe
Hope it stays fixed
